Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) 2.0
Join CMI for our new program, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction 2.0, designed to support experienced mindfulness students with an interest in re-starting, developing, and strengthening practice in support of greater wellbeing.
- Have you been looking for an opportunity to further develop your mindfulness practice?
- Has your practice lapsed and you’d like a jump start?
- Want to practice and dialogue with other practitioners who have found mindfulness to be a powerful support for happier, less stressful living?
As we know, mindfulness practice is relatively simple — we pay attention and when we notice we are not aware, we come back to the present moment — but it is not at all easy for many of us. Keeping the practice going is a challenge for any practitioner, no matter how long we have practiced; it takes continued effort, learning and support to stick with it over time. A community of fellow mindfulness travelers provides a powerful support in overcoming inevitable obstacles.
Take the next step in the development of your mindfulness practice with Cascadia Mindfulness Institute: join other committed mindfulness students and senior teacher Jonas Batt for a deeper exploration of mindfulness in an intimate small group setting allowing more time for mindfulness practice and discussion.
MBSR 2.0 is appropriate for graduates of CMI’s MBSR program or any other mindfulness-based program with teacher consent.
In this highly participatory, practical course we will use the basic structure of the MBSR program to re-visit and further investigate a range of foundational mindfulness practices and concepts as we also explore new approaches to mindful awareness on and off the cushion:
- Revisit the practices and concepts from MBSR in order to strengthen learning and develop your practice
- Learn and develop supportive, complementary practices like kindness, compassion and generosity
- Explore the foundations of mindfulness practice and MBSR background teachings
- Learn new approaches to familiar practices and further develop your mindfulness toolbox
- Gather with other practitioners for the mutual support of mindfulness practice in community
- Re-invigorate and enhance the application of mindfulness in daily life
- Discuss ways to strengthen continuity of awareness in support of greater ease and less stress
- Enjoy a silent retreat day with fellow students to support a deeper experience of silence in community

Customer Feedback
My mother took your class years ago and still talks about it!
The workshop leader was great!
The series exceeded my expectations, particularly with regard to the level of participation you were able to draw out from the participants.
Thank you for the wonderful workshop on mindfulness. I loved it and thought of it as a nice introduction to the practice.
I absolutely loved the mindfulness workshop!! The raisin experience was life changing!! I held onto the feeling from it for several days. It’s hard to truly put into words.
I really liked the mindful workshop. It is an eye opening for me. As an educator we always have to stay on top of schedule what’s coming ahead every day. It’s easy to forget ourselves and try to catch up things.
Thank you for scheduling this workshop. I loved it and want more of it for us. I think we so desperately need this type of internal care for sustained alignment with our mission and goals..
I really appreciate how encouraging and motivational you are – I think it made mindfulness seem really accessible to people, and I know it increased my motivation to make mindfulness a more regular part of my day.
